OH MICHAEL PHELPS CAN TOKE IT UP BUT NOT SHA’CARRI RICHARDSON? DISGUSTING. I FUCKING HATE THE OLYMPICS.

WHITE SWIMMING MAN GETS A PASS BUT SHA’CARRI CAN’T WHILE IT IS LEGAL DURING GRAVE FAMILY TURMOIL. BULLSHIT.

“phelps lost all his sponsors uwu”

OH DID HE??

image

kellogs literally signed back on with him after the fact as well.

also richardson smoked legally in oregon whereas phelps smoked where it would be entirely illegal for him

guess these legalizations dont mean fucking shit huh?

also they couldve barred phelps at any time, they chose to bar him during a time that still allowed him to compete later on in the year at another important event.

also dont see how richardson smoking in a legal state to deal with family trauma couldnt be classified as an approved therapeutic exemption

but sure it was totally fair and balanced huh??

smoking a blunt where it is recreationally legal bcuz ur mom died isnt therapeutic use claims the piece of shit olympics as they liken cannabis both to steroids as well as meth

I like how what Michael Phelps did was literally illegal at the time, like people were thrown in jail for less, but what Sha’Carri Richardson did was perfectly legal and should even constitute as legal under the olympics own fucking rules.

The USADA should have the courage to grant Richardson a retroactive therapeutic exemption, since smoking the weed was perfectly legal and she has a valid cause to have sought it for therapy.

Think for a second about how you can get Tylenol over the counter for any aches and pains. Think about how you don't have to prove to strangers that you're taking it for morally acceptable reasons, and how you don't get bothered for it because you didn't get a prescription for it, even though you might be using it recreationally (yes, people do abuse Tylenol).

But when it's weed, now you need a prescription, even though you know you're clearly suffering, because other strangers have to decide whether you're "worthy" of using weed, in a state where smoking it is so acceptable you are literally legally allowed to use it for fun.

All while a white man did it illegally for fun, while this was a black woman suffering and getting shit for it.

What the hell.
